Kerala


Kerala lies in between the Lakshadweep seas and the Western Ghats. Kerala is a state with lots of greenery and nature. It has rugged and cool mountains, rolling hills (central midlands) and coastal plains. Western Ghats are riched in Flora and Fauna. It is to be said that 10,000 plant spices are found in Kerala itself, which have 4000 spices in flowering plants and 900 medicinal plants. This state is exporting the spices since 3000 B.C. especially Pepper.

Kerala is a state where people migrate significantly from other part of country. Culture of the state is a mixer of two states, Tamil heritage region (Tamilakam) and Southern coastal Karnataka. Kerala have Kathakail and Mohiniaattam as their India Classical dance. Kerala also have a root in ancient music also. Kerala have a various types of folk and tribal music.

Kerala’s most famous dish is rice and curry. People feast there in a traditional way i.e. served on green banana leaves.

Kerala because of their lush and tropical Malabar Coast is the most popular tourist place. Kerala is said to the Paradise of India. The main tourist attractions of Kerala are Kovalam and Varkala (palm fringed beaches), Munnar and Vagamon (hills), Kumarakom and Kuttanad (backwaters) and Thekkady and silent valley (woods and forests). The other places to visit are adventurous hotspots, waterfalls, wildlife, monuments and sacred pilgrimage places.
